Hyderabad-based Dhruv Metals offers Alloy Steel Rectangular Bars to provide engineering applications with high strength and precision. Made from Cr‑Mo, Ni‑Cr, or Mn‑Mo alloy systems, these bars provide high toughness, resistance to wear, and dimensional stability. Provided as per ASTM A29 or AISI specifications, Dhruv Metals supplies lengths as per customer requirements, surface finish, and heat treatment. Widely used in production, die-making, and heavy machinery, these bars are praised for consistent metallurgical quality and machineability. Consistent supply and quality documentation position them as the first choice alloy steel product for fabrication and structural engineering applications.
Standard alloy steel rectangular bars have 0.3–0.5% C, 0.4–1.0% Cr, 0.3–0.6% Mo, with Ni or Mn added depending on grade. They reach tensile strength between 585–860 MPa and yield strength of 320–620 MPa, with elongation of approximately 12–18%. They obtain high hardness (HB 200–300) and wear resistance through normalization or quench-and-temper treatments. Carburizing or nitriding-ready grades provide surface hardening. The bars maintain toughness in conditions of high loads, abrasives, or high temperatures. Their weldability and machinability vary based on grade and treatment, offering balanced performance across industrial uses.

Alloy steel rectangular bars are not inherently environmentally friendly due to energy-intensive production processes and mining of raw materials. However, they can be recycled, reducing their environmental impact.
Yes, alloy steel rectangular bars are customizable in terms of dimensions, alloy composition, and surface finish. They can be tailored to specific applications, including strength, corrosion resistance, and shape requirements.
Alloy steel rectangular bars are durable due to their alloying elements like chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, which enhance strength, hardness, and resistance to wear, corrosion, and high temperatures, making them long-lasting.
Alloy steel rectangular bars are employed in tooling like dies, punches, molds, and shear knives for their hardness and accuracy. They find applications in heavy equipment frames, structural supports, compressor rotors, and shafts. They are utilized as critical parts such as gears and cross-beams in automotive and railway manufacturing. They‘re also applied in building construction for support braces and load-carrying structures. In oil & gas, they are used as components of mud pumps, valve bodies, and drill collars. Surface hardenability of the forging makes them suitable for use in wear-critical applications. Ideal for use in applications where dimensional accuracy, toughness, and load-carrying capacity are essential.
