Aluminium 1060 is a commercially pure aluminum alloy that contains at least 99.6% aluminum, along with trace amounts of iron and silicon. This non-heat-treatable alloy is highly valued for its outstanding corrosion resistance, formability, and conductivity. Typically, its tensile strength falls between 70–130 MPa, yield strength is around 30–85 MPa, and elongation ranges from 25–35%, depending on the temper (like O, H12, H14). While it may not be suitable for high-stress applications, Aluminium 1060 forgings are perfect for components where excellent thermal or electrical performance and easy fabrication are key.
