Dhruv Metals stocks a complete assortment of Carbon Steel Bars and Rods in round, square, hex, and rectangular shapes in standard grades like 1018, 1045, and 4140. Made to ASTM and IS specifications in hot-rolled, cold-rolled, or normalized condition, our inventory provides consistent surface finish, dimensional tolerance, and mechanical properties. Special sizes, finishes, and heat treatments are possible. These multipurpose steel profiles are utilized across many industrial applications, making them suitable for precision machining, fabrications, production of fasteners, and structural applications with assured quality and supply.
Available grades are 1018 (~0.18% C), 1045 (~0.45% C), and 4140 (with ~1% Cr, ~0.25% Mo). Tensile strengths are 440–775 MPa; yield strength is 275–620 MPa; elongation is 12–20%. Cold-rolled bars have better surface finish and fatigue life. 4140 is heat-treated to attain higher hardness (~30–35 HRC). 4140 steel bars are weldable, machinable, and surface-treatable. High strength and mechanical stress stability in dimension make them ideal for general engineering and structural applications.
