What is Copper C11500 Bars and Rods

Copper C11500 Bar and Rods also known as Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) copper, are widely used forms of commercially pure copper. They are characterized by a high copper content, typically 99.90% minimum, with trace amounts of oxygen (0.02% to 0.04%). This composition provides C11500 excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, superior corrosion resistance, and good ductility and malleability. However, the presence of oxygen makes it susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement at high temperatures. This material is not suitable for welding or brazing, due to this oxygen content.
