Stainless Steel 15-5 PH hex bars and rods are the martensitic precipitation-hardening alloys, approximately containing 15% Chromium, 4-5% Nickel, 3-5% Copper, 0.05% Carbon, 0.15-0.45% Manganese, trace Silicon, Phosphorus, and Sulfur. They are especially known for very high strength and toughness with significant corrosion resistance as well. Tensile strengths of 930-1170 MPa, yield strengths of 865 MPa, and elongation from 14 to 16% in the H900 condition describe their mechanical properties. Their hardness ranges between 38-42 HRC, making them suitable for demanding applications in aerospace, marine, and industrial environments requiring excellent mechanical stability and corrosion resistance under extreme conditions.
