Stainless steel 316 flat bar is an austenite alloy containing chromium (16-18%), nickel (10-14%) and molybdenum (2-3%). The addition of molybdenum enhances corrosion resistance, especially in chloride environments. It exhibits good mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength (515 MPa), yield strength (205 MPa), and elongation (40%). Due to its high melting point (1375–1400°C), it is durable, resistant to pits and cracks and rust. Ideal for applications in the chemical, marine and food industries, it combines excellent strength, toughness and weldability, making it practical in harsh environments
