Super Duplex Steel Forgings are crafted from alloys that typically contain around 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, and 0.2–0.3% nitrogen, with trace amounts of copper and tungsten to boost localized corrosion resistance. Their dual-phase austenitic-ferritic structure gives them a tensile strength of 800–900 MPa, a yield strength of about 550 MPa, and an elongation of 25%, all while maintaining excellent impact toughness and a Brinell hardness of roughly 250 HB. These forgings are highly resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking—especially in chloride-rich environments—while also offering great weldability and fatigue strength for high-stress applications.
