Tantalum R05255 is an unalloyed high-purity tantalum grade with outstanding corrosion resistance and ductility. It has a minimum composition of 99.95% tantalum with tightly controlled trace elements for higher quality. Its mechanical properties consist of about 207 MPa (30 ksi) tensile strength, 138 MPa (20 ksi) yield strength, and more than 30% elongation, which is very formable. It has a melting point of about 3017°C and high thermal conductivity, making it high-performing even in harsh conditions. Its biocompatibility also qualifies it for medical-grade uses.
